Program summary
1st day: lectures on rodent trapping, identification, genetics, parasites:
Rodent identification (from morphometry to molecules), rodent trapping , GPS use in the field and online mapping with Google Map, genetics, parasites and pathogens
2nd and 3rd practical training:
Rodent anatomy and manipulation (anesthesia, dissection, biohazard and security), specimen preparation (skulls), Parasitological investigation (dissection, observation, coprology, PCR, serology)
4th day: workshop
Rodents and pathogens in a changing environment: ecotoxicology, epidemiology
With speakers from Thailand, Singapore, Taiwan, Yunnan China,…
The new book "Protocols for field and laboratory rodent studies ” will be given to each participant.
